Creme Floral Satin Underbust Corset

Because now is the time to start ordering your corsets for holiday...

Marlo Marquise (more photos of her at my other blog) wearing Creme Floral Satin Underbust Corset.

I wish I knew where Marlo got her grey gartered-chemise...

Give Me 50 Lashes!

This vintage Vanity Fair half slip is less "illusion lace" to me because the wonderful black lace shifts as it sits over it's silky aqua blue nylon, not exactly providing the illusion of skin... But that doesn't make the slip any less wonderful; I'm just being particular about the use of the term. For being so particular, I deserve at least fifty lashes -- probably more. So how about I get a slip like this and suffer all it's eye lash lace? *wink*

What A Difference An "A" Makes

My Dearest David sent me this screenshot of what appears to be a perfumed bra for cajones.

While I'm all for perfuming men's sweaty parts, a search for the item shows that it's not what the Spanish illiterate might think *wink*

Elcorteingles.es has a new image for the sujetador perfumado, which makes it more clear that this is not a real bra or even an undergarment; it's a sachet of sorts. And the text, "Pequeño sujetador perfumado con fragancia de coco, para aromatizar tus armarios y cajones. Disponible en varios colores" translates to, "Small pinch scented with coconut fragrance, flavoring your closets and drawers. Available in various colors."

So cajones is not the same is cojones, capiche?

More Than A Girdle, It's An Invitation

Oh sure, this sweet soft pink stretch lace girdle looks innocent with its delicate lace ruffle & baby blue satin bow ... But did you notice how the hemline rises a bit in the front? Scandalous! *wink*

Hey, It's Not A Lingerie Blog, It's An Anatomical Supports Bra

Vintage Camp Anatomical Supports store display mannequin from the early 1940s, complete with her "anatomical supports" i.e. bra and corset girdle.

The seller says:

From S.H. Camp & Company, Jackson, Michigan, she is made of resin and is 24" tall. The detail work on the garments are amazing - down to the last lace, grommet, hook, and strap. Camp made undergarments for posture improvement, post-surgical support, and orthopedic aid, all with a decidedly feminine touch. During WWII, Camp's advertising campaign centered around providing the scientific means with which to help women work longer and with greater ease in war production.

Baby, It's Getting Colder Outside...

Personally, I dislike winter. The weather is nasty-cold and that white stuff should just stay on greeting cards. But...

There is something I do like about the change of the seasons. And there's a butt in my but -- because cooler weather means darker colors and heavier fabrics which are, like the big bad wolf says, the better to cover my pretty panties, m'dear.

Black panties, red panties, blue panties... too dark for most warm weather colors.

Panties with appliques, contrasting lace, ruffles, patterns and stripes... things light-weight fabrics give away.

Panties too sheer to modestly wear beneath summer white!

Yes, thinking about all the vintage panties I couldn't wear with shorts & other summer fashions, I am ready to make peace with autumn and the impending winter...

And when it snows, hubby must do all the snow removal; when it's too cold, he must run all the errands. I'll make it up to him by letting him see, feel and remove my pretty panties. *wink*

(Oh, of course the same is true for bras, slips and other lingerie too... Maybe I'll make future posts about them too?)

Vintage Personalized G-String Panties Ad

Why Hide The Applique?

Vintage half slips worthy of being skirts -- just wear another slip beneath them! (And add a top, of course!)

This vintage red nylon half slip has a contrasting orange satin applique surrounded by soutache scrolling stitches above the matching red lace hem. (I'm thinking an orange satin tunic, blouse or jacket!)

This long floor-length vintage white nylon half slip has appliqued pink butterflies and scalloped pink trim (looks like embroidery?) at the hem and a slit to the knee on the right side. (Pair it with a pretty pink angora sweater or a pink cardigan sweater set!)

Praise for Vintage Van Raalte -- And Slip Of A Girl

Lingerie lover and loyal blog reader Richard emailed me such a lovely email, I just had to share it with you:
Thought you would enjoy this old ad for Van Raalte.... those were the days!

Oh and by the way, you continue to make my heart pound whenever you talk about your love of big nylon panties and layers of silky nylon panties, slips, and nighties. Thank you!

- Richard
To which I responded:
Thanks, Richard -- for the image and the kind words. *soft smile* Some days, with the "business" of blogging (spam & stuff), I do so appreciate hearing from fans who have no agendas (other than perhaps seeing/reading more! lol)

Do you mind terribly if I share what you wrote when I post the ad?
And do you know what he said?
Dear Slip,

I would be honored if you posted what I wrote :-)

And seriously, your husband is the luckiest man on earth. (You can post that too, or at the very least let him know!).

- Richard
Readers like Richard make me feel so good! Thank you!

Hubby, however, notes that such comments pack the pounds onto my head, making me quite smug and full of myeself. ...Not that he really minds a good game of hard-to-get *wink*

Pant-ing For Panties With Vintage Style?

Look no further! Sweet*Cherry*Pop's got some pretty panties with plenty of vintage style... I'm in love with the sheer chiffon turquoise full cut panties with loads of black lace and the hot-hot pink panty girdles with garters. (And quite a number of them are in large sizes!)

This was emailed to me by Brad -- who thought I'd be "unable to resist a lingerie clad bottom given a squeeze" (boy, was he was right!) If you know who should be credited, let me know and I will give them the proper credit!

Illusion Lace Femme Fatale Fashions

Regular readers at this lingerie blog know I have a serious thing for illusion lace, so I was happy to see the November issue of Marie Claire featured it in their Femme Fatale fashion look -- even if they neglected to include actual lingerie pieces.

Unfinished (Panty) Business

Vintage handmade pink rayon panties, presumed to be from the 1940's, which were never quite finished -- the buttons were never sewn on and the button holes never finished. Which means you can quite literally do the old "So? So What? Sew buttons on your underwear!" thing!
